This film is based upon 3 guys who are in the quest of finding a treasure. Clint Eastwood plays the role Blondie (The Good), Lee Van Cleef as Angel Eyes (The Bad), Eli Wallach as Tuco(The Ugly).In the quest for the treasure the story mingles with Civil War.
‘THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY’ is one of the best works of Sergio Leone including the ‘Once Upon A Time in America’ and ‘Once Upon A Time in the West’. The direction by Sergio Leone is perfect and the slow pace of the films makes some dramatic turns making the film more intriguing. ‘THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY’ is written by Sergio Leone and Luciano Vincenzoni,It is said that after the film’s success Luciano Vincenzoni instantly became a millionaire.
‘THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY’ is a very significant film as this inspired many directors to make spaghetti westerns. The stand-off climax at the Sad Hill Cemetery remains one of the most popular scenes in film history. The very end of the film too is good with trade mark of Sergio leone. The Music was composed by ’Ennio Morricone’ and it excellent he uses the same background music for every character but with a different instrument.
